“…VARIATIONS IN RED…”
Stoa proposes a group exhibition, “Variations in red,” where that colour is the main feature in 33 works of art of different styles, born from the creativity of artists as various as Conchi Alvarez, Joaquin Molina, Julie Alegre, Javier Infantes, Emilio Sujar, J. M. Alvarez Cebrian, Belen R. Esturla, Paz Aymerich, Soledad Pulgar and Gloria Ducas. This primary color covers each work in different degrees, sometimes as a timid accent, sometimes as a companion of a secondary colour and, in most part, as an overwhelming lead actor to cause and incite emotions associated with the most ancestral part of human beings. Since the cave paintings, where it was part of a magic ritual, the colour red projects endless interests and intense sensations. You can appreciate and enjoy this exhibition, that goes from the most sensative red sanguine drawing to the more primitive sexual evocation in all of its tones: pink, red, magenta, vermilion,, scarlet, crimson, maroon … On diffrent bases such as paper liviano, cardboard, board, canvas; multiple techniques such as oil painting, acrylic, pastel, red sanguine drawing, engravings, mixed techniques; mostly figurative expressive languages, but also the conceptual level and heterogeneous multiple topics.
