Solo exhibition of the English artist who lives in Estepona, Annabel Overbury, after a long period of twelve years without exhibiting. The sample shows an almost complete retrospective of this painter, including all her stages and styles. The colour is the indisputable protagonist, to which the rest of the elements are subordinated and the intimate landscape which is also a recurrent theme. Sometimes the colour is diluted in long brushstrokes where figurative landscapes, flooded with turnerian light, achieve scenes of a flaming lyricism and exquisite sensibility. Other times the colour is conceptualized, dense of material in abstract landscapes, based on Rothkian memory stripes, as well as on pointillist mosaics. By means of the dialogue and the juxtaposition of the complementary colours, the degradation of tonalities and the heterogeneous condensations of light, captures visions and personal moments full of peace.
