CONCHI ÁLVAREZ ÁLVAREZ

Painter of a kind and personal feminine world, close to symbolism. She is in love with Andalucia, she is an enthusiastic promoter of the new figurative Andalucian art aiming to retake the costumbrist tradition of the 19th century. This is the reason why great part of her actual work revolves about the fascinating universe of the Andalucia´s woman. Her personal experiences form part of her paintings and portraits. Her work captures a subjective an ideal vision, which is not far away from the multiple classical influences. Paintings which overflow with light and intense colours that bring together harmony and balance to the compositions; creating worlds in which reigns optimism, sensuality and beauty…

PAZ AYMERICH
Pintora que inicia su andadura profesional en el mundo del arte de la mano de la Galería Stoa. Adora y vive la pintura con pasión.

She is a painter who begins her professional work in the world of art by the hand of Stoa Art Gallery. She adores and lives art with passion.
Paz´s paintings provoke a very strong impression. It seems that our eyes are before an integral nude, a nude from the soul, a pure interior world. Her cityscapes reflect her vision of life: lover and friend of people, her friends, but afraid of people, even though when she needs them. Views of impossible but safe attics, from which enjoying the city with living houses full of people, far away almost unnoticeable, without any sign of aggression, but there they are. It is a beautiful and silent vision of the great city but we perceive its human heart beat, its essences, nearly its interior hubbub, but there is no one visible. It is a bespoke world in which every single spectator gives every sight of oneself provoking a different sensation …. “Impression, confusing city".
The execution of the work is fast, breaking down bushstrokes or tapping on the palette, dematerializing backgrounds or details like mosaics, bringing out impossible colours from that inspiring feeling which pushed her before the board or canvas with decision. They are instantaneous feelings and emotions of a moment... or maybe of an entire lifetime, sketched to be determined by each glance.
Paz Aymerich has participated in two exhibitions in Stoa, in the inauguration of the gallery: “The beginnings” and also in a solo exposition titled: “In the city”.

JULIE ALÈGRE

She is a young French painter, author of shocking pieces. Her fascination for the Mediterranean Sea is always present in all her works, both the north of Africa, where she has lived part of her childhood and France where she has been living until today. She uses formats of different sizes with a light support, canson paper and using a thousand-year-old technique, the ink. The colour inks, on her brushes, seem to explode creating a colourful impulse as old as mankind, the femininity in its different aspects: specially when it has to do with the cult of the mother goddess, the Mediterranean Potnia Theron, considering the theme of the maternity; with apparent naivety, almost childish, in women meetings; sensually and passionately, in the feeling of love and passion of the couple. Doubtless, from the warmth that her works transmit, we perceive an universal and feminine tenderness which does not know about religion, language or race...

GLORIA DUCÁS

She is a plastic artist, an excellent engraver. She is in the posession of a refined, clean and meticulous technique, and meticulous detail proper of the great masters, but at the same time free, fresh and energetic, powerful and fresh, exuding contemporanity.
What a beautiful combination Gloria gets! In these times full of people and cultures, she syncretizes on the paper the line of work along the History. From the monochromatic ethnical simplicity of the Assyrians to the fantastic richness of colour found in the organic Andalucia’s mountains; from the beautiful ambition disguised of sin, in her religious themes to her dreams of imaginary impossible forests, all of them inspire without any limit of object, or drawing , to unify in visual effects all what we are. Part from today and part from the past, from here and from there, sometimes quietly and sometimes laudly, her dreams boil in our mind through her engravings.

JUAN MANUEL ÁLVAREZ CEBRIÁN

He is a painter with a wide experience in the market of the art and several prizes and awards.
He is a prolific, disciplined and indefatigable worker. His muse knows that he is always prepared, willing to hear her whisper. He is a lover of painting above all, his work reflects real near worlds. His diversity of styles varies from hyperrealism and surrealism to the symbolism, with a hint of Pop Art. His thematic is also wide: from the everyday-life viewed from his personal point of view of several still lifes paintings, passing to the reviewed classic mythology but checked and updated. The oneiric world appears in his kind painting....with great ideal dreams as background but difficult to be reached. He loves and plays with the symbols: beautiful signs and codes. His apparently simple landscapes contain worrying insinuations, and his self-portraits reveal a fascinating personality. The final balance: in his work, there is always an optimistic beat, a positive vision of life.

JAVIER INFANTES
He is an artist coming from Estepona of great versatility: paintings, digital work and drawings, some of them already published.
In painting, he uses mainly mix techniques in a certain informality very personal (Group “Deep”), coexisting with the geometric games of the group ( “Labyrinth”) and the figurative canvas from the group (“Haiku”). The digital work dazzles by its contemporary clasicism, while the drawings show a Javier Infantes close to surrealism and caricature, as well as hints of Pop Art.

Mª JESÚS RAMÍREZ

Painter who is in love with the subject and seems to stroll to the abstraction although, in fact, it occurs from herself, this is why the artist’s landscapes are tactile, conceptual, looking for essences. In this extraordinary synoptic exercise, breaks up lyric images which seem to come to life: arabesque of colour in the series “ ..Deep Sea...” loose and fragile brushstrokes with captivating tonality in “Wake”. Her painting is a painting of initiation to the abstraction from realism.
