She is a plastic artist, an excellent engraver. She is in the posession of a refined, clean and meticulous technique, and meticulous detail proper of the great masters, but at the same time free, fresh and energetic, powerful and fresh, exuding contemporanity.
What a beautiful combination Gloria gets! In these times full of people and cultures, she syncretizes on the paper the line of work along the History. From the monochromatic ethnical simplicity of the Assyrians to the fantastic richness of colour found in the organic Andalucia’s mountains; from the beautiful ambition disguised of sin, in her religious themes to her dreams of imaginary impossible forests, all of them inspire without any limit of object, or drawing , to unify in visual effects all what we are. Part from today and part from the past, from here and from there, sometimes quietly and sometimes laudly, her dreams boil in our mind through her engravings.

Painter who is in love with the subject and seems to stroll to the abstraction although, in fact, it occurs from herself, this is why the artist’s landscapes are tactile, conceptual, looking for essences. In this extraordinary synoptic exercise, breaks up lyric images which seem to come to life: arabesque of colour in the series “ ..Deep Sea...” loose and fragile brushstrokes with captivating tonality in “Wake”. Her painting is a painting of initiation to the abstraction from realism.

Emilio Sújar belongs to that rare, select and privileged group of multifaceted artists.Working in various fields, he expresses his love for all of them in Solomonic fashion without losing his genius in any of them. A musician, writer and researcher into the relationship between Art and Psychology, we can see and “hear” Emilio´s work through the written texts that accompany each image.An initial approach to his work shows a strong symbolist component but personalized by a strong and highly individual psychological glaze. Among the autobiographical works, the self portraits undoubtedly excel. In them, his meditations on himself, on the many and complex “Emilios”, find their expression. They are the result of deep introspection which is highly cathartic for the autor. Drawn in charcoal, with rapid, energetic strokes, it exudes freshness, but the use of a subtle lavis gives a delicate “sfumato” that does not blurr, but merely affirms, atmospherically, the impossibility of full knowledge. Another set of works is marked by typically narrative film language, by way of preparatory studies or notes reflecting on Life.They are flashes born from personal experiences, the result of seemingly random observations that give life to lyrical reflections.
