“… IN THE MEETING POINT …”

This is a group exhibition, curated by Conchi Alvarez.

“… In the meeting point …”, STOA, to amalgamate three diametrically opposed artists: Belen R. Esturla, Javier Infantes and Emilio Sujar, apparently united only by a common element, this exhibition space. Like the Greek stoas, our Stoa is the perfect space to display the works of these emerging artists: calm, stillness, peace and harmony make up an ideal setting for the fusion of works as disparate as these. But in this Estepona´s Stoa, if we delve into the pieces in the exhibition, we will be able to find elements common to all of them.

All three are Andalusian, creative, profound, with an extraordinary capacity for expression, formulated in different languages. Works “written” in figurative language in the case of Belen and Emilio, and works of abstract language in Javier´s case. Thirty works in total in which they waste authenticity, honesty and good craftsmanship, and their juxtaposition, far from being a dissonant eclecticism, produce a harmonious composition and a rich sample of what is emerging today in Andalusia.
