FEMENINE PLURAL
Stoa Art Gallery presents a group exhibition, “Femenino Plural”, laid on the foundation of six female artists, four Spanish ( Conchi Alvarez, Belen R. Esturla, Gloria Ducas and Maria Jesús Ramirez), a French, Julie Alegre, and an English, Annabel Overbury. They make up a rich amalgam which you can enjoy until the end of July.
Curated by Conchi Alvarez, the show is an exercise of juxtaposition of the plurality of views that these artists have, plurality of techniques, styles and plurality of approaches and interests, from simple experienced moments, captured with a feminine nerve or slow enthusiasm, to works born from pure rationalism, analytic, synthetic, through studio works. Landscapes, natural studies (still life, female nude) local scenes and ethnic, to a universal icon of comedy: Buffoon, are juxtaposed in a kind speech … feminine plural.
