PAINTERS: Gonzalo Cores Gomendio, Javier Infantes Lopez, Rafael Parra Roman y Emilio Sujar Romero
The exhibition tries to reflect the recent creative activity of these seven men. With seven stories, seven ways to live, feel, interpret art. Therefore, any attempt to classify this is banal, since each of them is a whole universe, attractive and fascinating. All of them perform a superb interpretation and customization of what they see, think, lucubrate, dream, imagine … The result is a range of languages, techniques, forms and materials that go from pure abstractions such as the sculpture “Abstract” by Joaquin Molina or “Gold and Sweet” by Javier Infants, to works that use forms easily perceptible to convey concepts, feelings and emotions, such as drawings from the series “Landscapes of Memory” by Javier Infants, “Bridges of emotions” by Rafael Parra, the works by Gonzalo Cores, or “Tear” by Jose Cano Mancilla; or they use real forms telling personal stories, often autobiographical, as “Grandma” by Manuel Fernandez, or “Zulma” by Jose Cano Mancilla; or tributes to places and traditions that they love, like “Ola Estrellada” or “Lunares” by Rafael Parra. Religious themed works, so different as “Christ resurrected” by Joaquin Molina and “Descent” by Manuel Fernandez. Recreation works of the classical world as “Colossus of Rhodes” by Joaquin Molina, or inspired on the masterpiece of the Italian Trecento, The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri, in the case of the four works by Emilio Sújar. The result is a varied and complex exhibition, exponent that the artist remains … and Art continues.
