Iglesias artist, curated by Conchi Alvarez.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Miguel Angel represents the genuine artist who, in the collective imagination, abstracts himself from everyday reality to be able to live in non-existent worlds, accessible only to his creator, and who, through beauty in a figurative key, represents them and makes them accessible to others. For this reason, this artist would belong to the select group of poet-painters who, since the Quattrocento, have created the most excellent pictorial poems that reach the depths of our spirit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For this undertaking, like the hermit, Miguel Angel needs the solitude of his atelier. There he practices an anamnesis that transports him to the moments lived in these beloved cities, with such zeal and depth that they could well have been experienced in other past lives. That is why his remembrance lacks details, and in the face of the inaccuracies of memory, his rational mind resolves with technique and mastery by resorting to a selective abstraction based on intense and dazzling colors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And what are those memories that repeatedly populate his paintings? They all have to do with socialisation, with experiences that took place in the urban environment. Cities that he has traveled to, visited, and even inhabited and of which have provided him with indelible emotional memories. Later, in his atelier, he searches his memory to relive moments and sensations experienced. And with nostalgia, the skyscrapers emerge as large sculptures of steel and cement, blurred, hermetic, almost abstract, and very colorful. His work is a declaration of love for human relationships, and this passion has led him to work for years in the genre of urban landscapes. They are works in which an impeccable perspective stands out because this artist, like Paolo Uccello (\u201cOh, what a sweet thing this perspective is\u201d), enjoys it, and plays with it with undoubted expertise, achieving outstanding compositions full of originality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The urban views are from a bird\u2019s eye perspective, because the author conceives them from an imaginary plane that flies over the downtown of a city as it approaches landing. A metropolitan urbanism: Seoul, Miami, Hong Kong, New York, New Delhi, Dubai, places where he has been and where he has nurtured the concept of the emotional city. Travelling to the cities that treasure the finest memories, where the best moment is the arrival, when the urban physiognomy is recognisable and that peak moment of excitement and tension is unleashed, charged with the best evocations and longings for reunion. The different changes of angle transform their perspectives into attractive swarms of lines, forming streets and avenues through which skyscrapers bathe in a sunlight parade in perfect order, creating shadows and optical effects of great plasticity.
